Airsoft IPSC
Airsoft IPSC has been developed in Hong Kong for more than 15 years. We are now at a well developed stage. The rules, targets and guns(airsoft) are standardized. We have common rule book used by Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Airsoft IPSC is a shooting (airsoft gun) sport which is transferred from the ground of IPSC. The exceptions among airsoft and real IPSC are the type of gun, size of target, some variation of the rules. Other than that, it is very much the same. We use airsoft gun which is powered by compressed gas. The bullet is 6mm round BB bullet. The size of the airsoft target is 3/4 of the real. Some of the rules are changed to fit for the nature of the airsoft.
Airsoft IPSC is now widely accepted by the community centre, schools for teenager. It is a good sport to train the discipline and the safe usage of gun. Teenagers are very easy to buy guns from the toy gun stores, but they do not have proper safety training and proper training of using the gun. Airsoft IPSC teach you not to shoot something you do not want to destroy, we only shoot at targets, not to shoot at human being.
Airsoft IPSC is a very challenging sport. It requires the skills of shooting, and the strategy of planning the course of fire. It can be done in an indoor or outdoor shooting range. HKASA has a permanent shooting range to provide the venue for the enthusiasts to enjoy shooting.
